tell us about your background as a stylist: 

Every day upon entering the salon, I am so grateful for the inspiration and ability to offer something I truly love to do.

I’m passionate about and specialize in creating beautiful, sun-kissed dimensional hair color.

I’ve expanded my knowledge of hair color utilizing Goldwell color from Germany; a leader renown in our industry as one of the highest quality conditioning color lines available ~

All of my color services include color-balancing & gloss toners as needed to preserve the color, health & shine of your hair.

I utilize both wet & dry hair cutting methods and begin each haircut with a consultation to personalize your look, followed by the appropriate nourishing Kérastase cleanser & conditioner followed with a simple blow-dry finish.

In 1991, I founded NOVELLA, one of the first Aveda Concept Salons in San Francisco and eventually transitioned to a top full-service Salon & Day Spa. After a gratifying 17 years of business ownership, and over 40 years in the beauty industry, I currently work part-time out of the beautiful Kosa Salon where I’m able to practice the art of hair styling and focus on the craft I feel so drawn to.

Whether it through an engaging conversation on health & nutrition, or simply discussing just the right look for you, you’ll always feel as though you’ve been given the personal attention desired. I know the importance of, and feel it is a privilege to provide you with a comfortable space and time to talk about your beauty and health care needs.

I resonate with the philosophy that we are all connected beings sharing this planet, here for each other and striving for harmonious living and togetherness.

hidden talent?

I love to design, decorate, garden & I’m very “artsy craftsy!” I make really cool & unique beaded curtains & awesome dream catchers.

favorite place to eat?

An amazing hole in the wall called Marnee Thai on 24th & Irving.

cocktail of choice?

Hendrix Gin & Tonic or a good shot of smooth Tequila & a Mexican Beer!

what animal would you be?

a bird

what do you love about kosa salon?

The genuine heart that has gone into creating an amazing work environment all of us. I love organization, I love that systems are in place and I do love my freedom as well!
